We are really delighted with the line-up of top quality Medieval Re-enactors that we have managed to attract to the 2008 East Anglian Medieval Fayre!

The Order of Fighting Knights

This group from Sheffield has some of the very finest swordsmen among its membership, including Lord Hugh Despenser and Sir Edward of Rochester.  And many very good looking ladies, as you’d expect in such exalted noble company!! The OFK will stage a Tournament A Plaisance each day, with guests from the other assembled groups. NB - Don’t mess with Lady Despencer!

Horses through History

Specialists in presenting authentic images of Horses and their role in our History, bringing the Ivanhoe Tournament to Cressing Temple!!  This is rather different from the more formalized sporting contest that jousting evolved into in the 15th century—this is much more war-like, with mounted knights trying to knock each other off the horse so they can hold them to ransom or steal their armour. And their supporters tend to join in to “help” their lords…..it could get very messy indeed!

Tournee

Greatly respected group portraying the middle of the  14th Century.

The Knights of Honour

Featuring  Sir John of Winchester, champion of many Tournaments.

The Great Northwood Bowmen

Fast growing group with impressive encampment and many skilled archers, will be in charge of the Archery Displays.
